How to have a well-run cat

Many people write about how to train a puppy and learn a dog to react properly, but many don’t know that it’s possible to train a cat. Even learning some basic behaviors will improve your life with them and help them meet your expectations. The key to training a cat is to understand it first.

As puppies, there is an important period for kittens when their social development takes place, usually between three and seven weeks old. This is when learning to interact with other cats and with humans and positive or negative experiences at this time can have a lasting effect on them. Unfortunately, unless you raise the cat yourself or come from a breeder, they are likely to go through this step before you meet them.

Some studies on pets have shown that only five minutes a day, people drive when kittens are three to five weeks, helping to produce friendly and well-run cats. This is even more important for wildcats when they go to pets when they are older.

Kittens that are not manipulated can develop social personalities. This means that when they are older, they are not welcome to be picked up or detained. They will spend time with their owners, but on their own terms and may be limited. You can sit on your knees, but for a short time and can bite or growl to stop the attention. This does not mean that they do not make good pets, but they are probably more limited and cautious.

The other main factor in the kitten’s behavior comes from its parents. If you want to buy some kind of cat, meet the parents because this will give you an idea of what the kittens will be like. If they are friendly and extroverted, then the kittens will probably take after them, but if the parents are careful and shy, then the kittens will often be the same.

Patterns can also be seen in wildcats. When raised by wild mothers, they are more likely to be nervous and cautious, even if they are admitted to a family at a relatively young age. On the other hand, studies show that friendly male cats tend to take care of friendly kittens. The personality of the mother is one of the most important factors, as Dad does little more than contribute his genetics to the treatment.

Learning behavior

Once you understand the nature of your cat’s personality, you will be better equipped to try to learn the behaviors you want them to have. If you tend to let people come home, for example, you want your cat to be adaptable to strangers and not afraid of them. A good way to help them convey this is to present them to different people in a safe and quiet way from an early age. Observe the time they spend with the children to make sure no one gets too many kittens, as this can create anxiety for children and can also lead to biting and scratching.

Encountering other animals at a young age can also be important, especially if there are plans for another pet in later times. Meet your friends with other kittens and cats or with cat-friendly dogs to show your kitten that these things are good. Learn the kitten to travel in an animal transporter.

While the cat is a kitten, it is the best time to teach them to wear a harness and bring them outside. Let them play with lead before you bring it to the stage for a number of days, then work to go outside with them restricted by lead.

Learning to come to you with a treat is a good early way to build a relationship with them. Call them by name when you play with them, and then use them to call them. When they respond, give them a small gift as a reward and a hug.

Cats learn differently from dogs because they are not motivated by praise alone. A gift is a good bribe to get the cat to do what you want, and they are very intelligent, usually to quickly learn what to do to get this deal. Never scream or beat the cat as this will accumulate negative emotions and ruin every opportunity you have to train them.
